Custom notifications are truly the backbone of what makes the Middletown Server. We have many roles and pokemon that you can sign up for to receive a notification through discord. Get all pings you want, none of the pings you don’t.

Community Day(s), Charity Day(s)
This month we’re collecting Back to School Supplies for Cross Street AME Zion Community Church - we raid there a lot, and now we’re giving back! Donate unused backpacks, pens, pencils, notebooks, paper rulers, glue sticks, and any other common school supplies. While Cross Street Church is a religious organization, they open their Back to School collection to all low-income families in the area, regardless of religion. Do it for the kids!
Want to donate food? We’ll also be collecting items for the Amazing Grace Food Pantry. They were very grateful for our last donation, and have let us know that they also take perishable produce, so unload your extra garden veggies here.
We have 3 convenient ways to donate:

All About Eevee Pokémon Go’s Community Days Featuring Eevee! When: Saturday and Sunday, August 11th & 12th 2-5pm Where: Meet up at the Plaque of Honor gym at 1:30pm to trade Pokémon and check in your Silph Road Traveller card.
Rain or Shiny: Bring an umbrella!
This month has TWO whole days to get your Eevees! Will they be shiny? Will you get them all? Niantic has revealed the Exclusive Move: Last Resort! Catch and evolve an Eevee during Community Day and it will know the great Generalist move Last Resort. Because it takes time to walk those Eevees for Umbreon and Espeon, Niantic has extended the window for Eeveelution: you have until 4pm on Monday to evolve your Eevees to learn Last Resort!
But how do you get the Eeveelutions you want? Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon are random, but Umbreon and Espeon can be walked and evolved: walk an Eevee as your buddy for 10km, earn two candies, and evolve it (while it’s still your buddy) during the day, and it will become Espeon. Do the same, but evolve it at night, and you will get Umbreon.
Naming Trick: You can also use a naming trick for a one-time use guaranteed Eeveelution. Name Eeevee “Pyro” and get Flareon, “Rainer” and get Vaporeon, “Sparky” and get Jolteon, “Sakura” and get Espeon, “Tamao” and get Umbreon.
Reminder: Wait on those lures! Don’t start your lures till 2pm and get 3 hours of Eevees!

Niantic has announced their Trading Event, Live till August 19th! 3x exp for a new dex entry 25% less stardust cost per trade regardless of friendship level up to 6 candy per trade
@Spinda has been added the game! Currently, only its 8th form is available. We don’t know how long we’ll have to get Spinda 8, so complete the research task (make 3 curveballs in a row) to get a chance to catch a Spinda! If you find this research task, please post it to #research-sightings with a map or specific cross street!
Shiny Houndour and Shiny Snubbull have been introduced to the game.
