A Special Issue For New Members
We have so many new members on the server! We’re excited to have you and we want to share some news and features with you. First, we would like to extra special, pretty please, ask you to read #raiding-with-us - the server runs on special raid features and rules, so get in the know so you don’t miss a raid!
A quick primer:
Sightings: post sightings of raids in the #t1-t4-sightings channel; post tier 5s in the #t5-sightings channel
Planning: head to #raid-planning to express interest. If 5 more people want to raid, ask a @Raid Leader or @Gym Leader to post the raid for you.
Attendance: once a raid has been posted, emote for it in #raid-attendance! Emote for every person with you. Raid leaders will take attendance at the raid, and you don’t want to be left out. (Emotes are the little clickable icons underneath posts)
Server Nicknames:
You may have noticed that most members have (##) after their server nicknames. We do this so we know the levels of people coming to raids, so we get a sense of the numbers we need. That way we don’t have 5 level 22s showing up to a legendary alone! Ask a @Gym Leader to change your nickname whenever you level up.

In Case You Missed It…
Pokémon Go is Kanto Krazy this month! Until the end of the month, you’ve got a chance to finish your Gen 1 dex!
Contests! Get DTR - we’re raiding the birds until Sept. 20! Go to the Legendary Trio channel and submit your pokédex entries for Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno!

Server Feature of the Week: New Pokédex!
Head on over to #go-counters-and-pokedex and try it out: want to know what to use in an Absol raid? Type $counters absol. Trying to remember what type Grimer is? Type $dex grimer. Okay, you know all that, but what about movesets? Want to know how useful Articuno’s new move is? Type $mdex hurricane and find out the DPS.

Contest Time: Bird Raids!
For a limited time, the legendary birds are back. But wait, there’s more! Raid timers are now 1:30:00 long, while eggs only take 0:15:00 to hatch. Now’s the time to get in those raid trains. If you enter your pokédex screenshots of the three birds, then enter your final tally on Sept. 20, you have a chance to win a badge AND a Subway gift card. The trainer who does the most raids combined (by number of raids, NOT catch rate) will get a server badge after their name AND a set of 8 enamel Kanto badges to show your PoGo pride. Community Day: Chikorita
Pokémon Go’s Community Day Featuring Chikorita! When: Saturday, September 22nd 2-5pm Where: Meet up at the Plaque of Honor gym at 1:30pm to trade Pokémon and check in your Silph Road Traveller card.
Rain or Shiny: Bring an umbrella!
Reminder: Wait on those lures! Don’t start your lures till 2pm and get 3 hours of Chikorita!
Pokémon Go News and Updates
In case you missed it, here are a few of the amazing new features in-game.
The Ultra Bonus Unlock from Professor Willow’s Global Challenge is live! From Sept. 13th until the end of the month, Kanto pokémon will be appearing more frequently, raid bosses will change, and Gen 1 regionals can be hatched from Alolan eggs!
@Spinda 3 has been added. We likely have one month to catch this form, so get out there and find the “Make One Great Curveball” task. If you find this research task, please post it to #research-sightings with a map or specific cross street!
The Celebi research challenge continues. If you are stuck on a task, head on over to the Research channel for more details. If you’re in need of three new friends, head over to The Friend Zone for friend codes.
Shiny Grimer and Shiny Geodude have been added to the game.
